Tackling Global Warming Using Renewable Energy

According to Wikipedia, global warming is the rise in the average temperature of the earth’s climate system over a long period of time.

As an occurrence of climate change, global warming is a result of carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and other air pollutants being absorbed into the atmosphere thereby trapping heat and making the earth hotter.

It is relatively associated with greenhouse gases known for the release of radiant energy within the thermal infrared range.

Human activity has been identified to be the major influence on global warming and the generality of climate change as a whole. Scientific record explains that these activities may hamper the health of the planet.

These human activities include deforestation, intensive farming, burning of fossil fuels, and mining.

With ever-increasing technological advancement, alternative means of generating power can be used in curbing the effect of global warming.

Renewable energy is an alternative energy that is generated from natural sources that are replenished continuously.

These energies do not deplete as they naturally undergo a process of restoration. This includes solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectric.

The use of renewable energy offers a wide range of possibilities for reducing the generative effect of global warming.

As a natural resource, renewable energy causes less pollution compared to traditional means of getting power (fossil fuel). They are environmentally friendly and create much cleaner air.

Energy consumption plays a vital role in the sustainability of a healthy environment. The way and manner we consume energy can positively or negatively affect the nature of the earth’s climate.

In some parts of the world, solar and wind energy are increasingly gaining ground in energy generation. There has been a remarkable cut in prices for product sales and installation.

Policies are made to favor the advancement of these new types of technology as the gains are too vital to be ignored.

The use of renewable energy should be encouraged. More policies can be formulated to aid the advancement of alternative energy for a cleaner world.
